NEWMARKET.

The proclamation was read at Newmarket by tire Town Clerk (Mr Ho<ro) The Mayor (Mr J. McColl) made a short speech to the crowd, which numbered some 300 people. Three cheers were given for His Majesty, and 'the first verse of the National Anthem was sung.
