SUICIDE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUXEDIjST, Friday. An inquest was held to-day on Hector McCaughan, found hanging on -Monday last in a byre on his farm at Green Island. Deceased had been behaving peculiarly for a little time before. He got up early and went out. His wife, being anxious, followed shortly and foimd deceased hanging. While a nephew held him up she ran for a knife and cut him down. Efforts were made to revive him, but he never regained consciousness and died on Thursday. Medical evidence showed that death was due to asphyxia., and a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was returned.
