THE ZUURFONTEIN AFFAIR.
ENEMY LOSE HEAVILY
LONDON, January 17.
The Boers sustained sixty casualties at Ztiurfon-tein. The small body of Cheshire Mounted Infantry which held eight hundred of the enemy at bay at Kaalfontein were short of both food and ammunition. A hundred Boers looted Sutherland, in the west of the colony, and are nowretreating northwards.
