The wretched weather continued throughout yesterday and there is now very rHtle chance of a satisfactory termination to the tournament. Many New Zealanders intend returning North by boats to-day and on Monday, and unless the intercolonial match is played on Monday at the latest it cannot be in any way representative.

A ball was held in the Art Gallery last night and was a great success, most of the visitors being present.
