Alex. Aitken, l_imitecl, report a good demand tor produce during past week. Our output was large, aud prices realised ■satisfactory tor vendors. Heavy consignments of potatoes arrived to a good market, prime samples sold at sight. We quote early in the week:—Lapstones., ~b 10/ to £9; AI. Bonums, £7 10/; early puritan, _. 10/ to £7. At Friday's sale kidneys sold in wholesale parcels, £7; in small lot's, £7 10/ to £8: green peas, 8d to lid; broad beans, 3d to sd; French beans, 2/_ peck; asparagus, 4/6; cucumbers, 3/6 to 6/ dozen; oats, 2/ to 2/4; maize, 2/9; bran, 3/9; sharps, 4/3; chaff, GO/ to 70/. Dairy produce: Factory rolls, lOd; prime dairy, 7^d to 8d; medium, 5Jd to 6d; prime keg, 6_d; fresh eggs, B_d; farmers' cheese, 4_d to sd; factory hams, Drakes', 9d; bacon, Gd; other brands, hams Bd, bacon sd. Fruit: Good supply; pines, 8/ to 10/9 case; bananas, 3/6 bunch; local cherry plums, 5d to 6d; oranges, 5/7 to If; lemons, 7/ to 8/; cherries, Gd to 7_d; red currants, 6_d peck; gooseberries, farmers' glory, 3d to 3_d; other sorts, 21d to 23d; tomatoes, 5d to 7d. Poultry: Table roosters in good condition, 2/6 to 3/3; cockerels, 1/5 to 1/8; fat hens, 1/5 to 1/7; others, 1/ to 1/3; geese, 2/9 to 3/6; ducks, 1/ to 1/9; ducklings. 1/; turkey gobblers, 4/9 to il; hens, 2/9 to 3/3; strong demand for these birds if ln condition; pigs good, wellbred lots, 6/6 to S/6.

Poultry: Our pens were filled to utmost capacity. Turkeys realised extreme prices, 0/6 to 10/0; good demand; geese, 2/0 to 4/0; roosters, fat, wanted, to 3/; hens and young Inferior lines lower. Pigs: 200 catalogued; inclined to be low today, but expect better prices. Tomatoes, 3d to Bd.
