THE UNION COMPANY,
Mr Nan-arrow, formerly employed in' the Wellington branch of the Union S.S. Co./ has resigned in order to undertake the management of his late father's business in Greymouth. Mr James, latterly of the Auckland branch, will succeed Mr Nancarrow at Nelson. SCHOOL TEACHERS' SALARIES. It is expected that the additional Vote of £8250 passed last session for increases in State school teachers' salaries will be paid over to the various Boards of Education before Christmas. THE HON. MR CARROLL. The Hon. J. Cairo] 1 has gone to Gisborne _n official business. It is understood he will return to spend his Christinas here.
