GAZETTE NOTICES.

The followiug notifications appear in the Government Gazette issued last evening:—
'Land-is taken for a road through the Karaka Block No. 1, Coromandel Survey- District, also sections 29, 29a, 31 and 31, block 9, To Aroha; also for a- road in the Parish of Horotiu, block 15, Newcastle Survc;, District; also block .1, Parish of Waiau, Coromandel Survey District.
Regulations are published under the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1900.
Tikinui No. 3, kauri gum reserve, 265 acres, is set apart under the Kauri Gum Industry Act.
Sections of block No. 3, block 4, Waihou Survey District, are sefc apart for a public cemetery.
Section 3, block •!, Manugamangero Survey District, 1592 acres, is set apart as an eudowment for primary education. The Order-in-Council of November 2, ISS6, prescribing the manner in which the consent of ratepayers should be testified for the purposes of section 21 of the Local Bodies Loan Act, is revoked.
The rural lands in the Auckland Land District, Hobson County, Kailm District, sections 11, 12 and 13, will be open for sale or selection on and after January 9: also section 38, block 15, Tokatea District, County Otamatea.
.James Malcolm Mason, L.It.C.P., Ed., is gazetted, chief health officer under the Public Health Act.
A number of officers in the New Zealand Militia are struck off the rolls, being- over the age of 65.
'Special orders of the Tamaki West and Mauku Road Boards regarding bylaws and results; of rolls for proposed loans in the Drury and Mauku Road Boards are also gazetted.
Mr Peter J. W. Holstead is gazetted Acting Vice-Consul for Denmark, at Dunedin.
Dr. J. M. Mason's appointment as chief health officer, under the Public Health Act, is gazetted.
Mr Samuel Dalrymple is appointed inspector, surveyor, and engineersurveyor, under the Shipping and Seamen Act; examiner for marine engineers' certificates, and inspector of machinery for the colony. The following volunteer rifle corps are accepted: Foxton, Masterton, Reefton, Canterbury, Highland, Brunner Rangers, PaLmerston Guards, Clive, Patea, Inglewood, Taieri Mounted, Pahiatua, Eketahuna Mounted, Eltham Motueka Mounted, Opotiki Mounted, Hurumua, and Queenstown, also the Wellington Submarine Mining Corps.
The estates of 18 deceased persons have been placed under the charge of the Public Trustee.
