INTERPROVINCIAL CRICKET.

CIIRISTCHURCH, Thursday

At a general meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association a resolution was carried expressingl the opinion that the arrangement of interprovlncial matches should be taken in hand'by tfie New Zealand Cricket Council before ' the commencement of each season. The Council was recommended to fix the North v. South Island match for January 1, 2 and 3. At a meeting of the committee afterwards it was decided to accept January 19, 20 and 21 as the dates for the Welling-ton-Canterbury match, and the secretary was instructed to wire to the Auckland Association stating that the best dates for the Canterbury-Auckland match would be January 1, 2 and 3.
