; Thomas Lester, one of Arrowtown's oldest and most respected miners, was killed, in hjs sluicing claim last night. He/'-wWiri the act of clearing stones from the head of the tail-race when a fall of earth came upon him from, a distance of 200 feet. Deceased lost a son in the same claim, about seven
years ago.
