TRADES RUGBY UNION.
The Trades' Rugby Union matches were played on Wednesday afternoon last, when the Bakers played North Shore, at North Shore. The Bakers won by 15 points to nil. The North Shore were not able to get a full team, and this gave the Bakers a great advantage. For the Bakers Edwards, Stpdard and Preston each scored a try, Reid converting one and kicking a goal from a mark.
A football match was played at Potter's Paddock on Wednesday afternoon between the Clothiers and Drapers. After ah interesting struggle the match resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. The Clothiers had the best of the game, keeping the Drapers in their own 25 all the last half of the game.
