More inquiry was made to-day for Standard lines, but no transactions were reported at the prices offered. Bank of Sew Zealand jshanea 'had farm buyers at 12// and ail insurance stocks were in request at late rates. Buyers came in again* for Avondale Brick shares at 19/6. Other lines were unchanged. Mining stocks had little inquiry on the average. Barrier Eeefs were wanted at 6/3 and Four-in-Hand shares at 2/3. Tairua Broken Hill shares were a shade firmer, being wanted at 1/2, but sellers asked 1/7 as against 1/3 yesterday.
