Sir.—Allow us to correct a slight error* in the local which appeared in your issue (5f 3rd Inst., in reference to above syndicate. The scene of operations is not on the property known in connection with tha name of Mofcaii Jones. ■The syndicate's property is on the opposite side of the river. Moreover, it-differs from all other coal ground in the Mqkau, inasmuch'as four-fifths of the coal can be worked byday levels, without sinking shafts, or using engines and machinery.—l am, etc JESSE KING AND CO.
