A meeting of creditors in the estate of Sydney S. Hartley, who is supposed to have left the colony leaving debts to the amount of £336 7/, was held to-day in the office of the Official Assignee. There were present: /Messrs Taylor, Burns . (J. Burns & Co.), Smith, Fraser,- -Ford- (Ngunguru Coal Company), Wilding and McGregor. Mr McGregor, solicitor, was also present on behalf of the petitioning creditor, the Ngungura Coal Company. It was decided, on the motion of "Mr Burns, tha.t the Official Assignee take steps to realise the estate;, and to have the bankrupt arrested if found within the colony. It%vvas further decided that Messrs Ford and Burns be empowered to act for the creditors as an advisory committee with the Official Assignee in dealing with the assets. '■■ '* -.'
