Eighteen hundred persons have been arrested in Italy .including two editors of Socialist newspapers. . Defusco, an Italian-American Anarchist, arrested at Casertp, in Southern Italy, admits 'foreknowledge of King Humbert's murder, and states he expected a revolution to follow.
NEW YORE, August 6.
Anarchists in Chicago stopped a meeting- of Italians held to express sympathy with the Queen of Italy. : Twentyrfive.. persons were injured during a melee. : . ' ; Five arrests were made, including1 the widow of Parsons, an Anarchist, who was executed in 1890.
An Italian, writing from Brazil in June, inquired as to the truth of a report that King Humbert had then been murdered. . ."- •' ■
PARIS, August 6,
An Anarchist named Valette has been arrested on a charge of having, financed Salson. The latter has confessed that he wished to kill the Shah, because the Shah was a great ruler.
WASHINGTON, August 5,
Italian Anarchists are very active under the leadership of Malatesta, who is now supposed to be in London guiding the movements of several groups of Anarchists. The latter are belieyed to have been deputed to assassinate other European sovereigns.
The United States Government declines to extradite 30 Italian Anarchists, including several who were implicated by Bressi's admissions.
