McLean and party, who are, working a tribute in the New Whau mine, obtained £125/3 from eight pounds of picked stone. BUNKER'S HILL. Results from stoping oeprations on the cross-leader have shown an improvement this week. A parcel of 211b of picked stone has been secured from No. 3 stope, whilst in No. 2 stope the leader has pinched, but gives evidence of opening out again in the course of the next few feet driven. WELCOME JACK. The No.lleaderat the low level opened with a change of country during the week to six inches in width. The leader is composed of ribs of quartz, with soft siiica seams in between the stone, giving fairly coarse gold. Although varying in size from three to eight inches it has maintained good prospects all the week. Next week the manager hopes the drive will be in far enough to enable him to crosscut for No. 2 and No. 3 leaders.
