WAIUKU, July 30.

A very large audience assembled in the Public Hall on Friday evening to hear the Steele-Payne Family of Bellringers. On Saturday a very friendly game of football took place between the PacKliigton and Mauku teams, tho former wui-ninß-by 17 points to nil. By winning this game the Packington team have won a sitot caps presented by Mr Howe to the winners of two out of three games. Several of our oW settlers have passed away within the last fortnight -Mr Jones, Mr Arrowsmith, Mr Pye (oi Awhitu), and Mrs Holmes, sen.
