1 Waitekauri shares were again wanted on the Exchange to-day at 56/, and sellers reduced their price from 60/ jto 58/6, but "no sales resulted. Waihi shares had buyers at £9 15/, and Taisrua Broken Hills firmed in price, transactions taking .place at 2/4 and 2/5, ;with further buyers at the former price. Enquiries were also made for Four-in-Hands, ex div., at 2/9, but
sellers wanted 3/1. In cheaper lines v 8d was offered for Monowais, 4d for iWaihi Consolidated, 7^d for Extendeds and 6d for Souths. Standard lines had good enquiry. Kauri Timber (contributing issue) were sold up to 1/7, and paid-up shares had buyers at 5/. L.OB. Timber shares were also in request at 25/6. Buyers came in for National Banks at 65/, while 63/ was ioffered for New Zealand Insurance, &4/4 for Standards, and 17/6 for Nationals. In coal shares, Westport were still wanted at 71/, and Taupiris at 17/6/ Auckland Gas1 shares also had buyers at £13 15/ and £10 12/6 respectively.-
