SLAUGHTER-HOUSES.
At the meeting of the Waitemata County Council to-da"y the recentlypublished reports of the Health Officer. Dr. F. W. King, on Binsted Bros." slaughter-house at New Lynn, and Verran Bros." slaughter-house at O'Xeill's Point, were read by Mr O. Mays, the county cleric: Tt'was resolved on the motion of Mr Sinclair to notify the owners of the slaughterhouses that the improvements and sanitary arrangements recommended by Dr. King- must be carried out at once, and thnt Dr. King bo asked to report again at next meeting.
