Cleaning up was commenced to-day by the Tararu Creek Company. About the usual monthly tonnage has been treated.

It is expected that this company's ! crushing- will be completed at the end lof this week. It is understood that ■fifteen ton?; are being crashed. There iis nothing of an important character to report from the mine. The lSohs of Freedom reef continues to look well, and gold in still seen in the general dirt. The rise being put up to eonjnect Xo. 1 level with the western end !of the upper workings is now within 13 i'ei'i of the required height. j MAY QUEEN OF HAUHAKI. I This company's mill is engaged running full time on ore of good quality from the mine, where the prospects I are at the present time very, good injdeed, and payable ore is being- broken jout, from each of the Saxon and Qtfeen oil -May sections. | THAMES-HAURAKI. I Excavating a site for erecting the [ !reduction works on is in progress. It is | ! proposed to erect the mill on the j southern side of the pumping plant. |
