This afternoon His Excellency the" Governor presided at the meeting held in the V.M.C.A. Buildings for the promotion of a school for Maori girls. To-night His-'Excellency will be pre-i, sent at the annual meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association, which^ takes place in the Drill Hall. Lord? Ranfurly will give an address, and; either he or the Countess of Ranfurlyf; will present the certificates and medal* ; lions won during the year. To-mor«;# row morning His Excellency intends ; visiting the "Kapai" boot factory at/: Eden Terrace. , .:
