CROWN LANDS BOARD.
The ordinary monthty meeting of the Crown Lands Board was held this morning in the Government Buildings, Custom-street. Present: The Commissioner, Mr Gerhard Mueller (in the \phair), Messrs Harris, Lundon and Renshaw. . ■; Flotage Licenses:— .Norman. Campbell applied for a flotage license over the Whakapara and Kaimamaku rivers. It was decided to consider the application when the fees were paid. Matthew Davidson applied for a similar license over the Ahuroa and Millbrook streams, tributaries of the Waijpu. It was decided to have application made to have the Waipu river (or poi'tion) gazetted under the Timber Floatage Act 1884. Thirds Schemes. —Thirds Schemes have been received from the local bodies, Katikati, Opotiki, Pokeno, Huntly Road Boards; Manukau and Rodney County Councils, Gordon special settlement. Sulphur Deposits.—C. 11. Wilson applied again for leave to work the sulIphur deposits on the Sanatorium Re- ! serve at Rotorua, and offered £1.2/0 i per ton royalty. Application declined as other deposits are available in the district. Fencourt Estate.—The following were declared the successful applicants for sections in .the Fencourt Estate, Waikato; —Cambridge: W. Crisp, T. Heslop, Catherine Swayne, C. Crouch, J. Stirling, E. 11. Button, Amy | Gibbons, W. AylwaTd, A. Elackman, H. Bainbridge, R. Swayne, S. Rose, W. j Wallace, S. Burns, A. McFarlane; Hamilton: W. McCormick, David Davies. James Shaw, S. J. Jeffs, J. Brown, J. F. Goodwin, E. E. Knowles.
