'Experimental Stations. —Some discussion ensued on the question of experimental farms, sevleral delegates pointing out that Agricultural' Colleges and similar institutions rarely produced practical farmers. Mr Brown of Wairoa advocated the universal teaching of Agricultural Science in the public schools. The following resolution was eventually carried.
"That practical farms be established in difi'erent parts of the colony under the control of a Board on which the Presidents of the local Agricultural Society, the Fruit Growers' Association, and the Farmers' Union shall have a seat."
Election of Executive.—The following were elected an Executive Committee for the. ensuing year: Messrs Colbeek (Maungaturoto), Rutherford (Auckland), Westney (Mangere), Dye (Kaukapakapa), S. Brown (Clevedon), Ki.rkbrid.e (.Mangere), Sainsburv (Warkworth), -Miller (Onewhero). C. E. McMillan (Katikati). with' the officers ex-oflicio. three to form a quorum, Mr Clark Walker (Whangarei) was appointed secretary, and Mr S. C.Glass (Hokianga), organizing secretary.
Mr 1 . Colbeck (Maungaturoto) was elected vice-president, and Mr Wright of Pukekohe, treasurer of the Provincial Committee.
