MR N. DICKEY'S SALE
The sale of Mr N. Dickey's thoroughbreds took place at Mount Pleasant, Paeroa, yesterday morning. The sale was conducted by Mr J. S. Buckland, of Messrs A. Buckland and Sons, Auckland. For the stallions Brookby and Reconstruction there w*as no' bid whatever. Lady Dash was not offered, having been sold privately. For Swiftfoot Cugns was the best offer, and he was withdrawn at lOOgns reserve. The brood mares also failed to elicit bids, lioadicea. by Tetford—Virginia, stinted to Reconstruction, was passed in at SOgn.s. Swifts lire, Migoulet, and Kimori were also passed. Victress, by Vortex —Georgi, was knocked down at :"gns, The following young stock were sold: Two-year-old colt by Soult —Swiftsure, ■ 15gns, J. Knock (Tauranga); two-year-old colt by Brookby --Migoulet. 20gn., ,1. Knock; yearling filly by Brookby—-Migoulet,' 12gns, Abbott. (Opotiki); brown yearling colt by Sylvia Park —Kaimori, 12gns, J. Knock: bay yearling filly, by Brookby—Minnie. 4gns, A. J. Storey (Hamilton). A large number assembled at the sale ring, but bidding was very dull. '
