Sir,-—I would like to call the attention of the proper authorities to the fact that several people right within the. city keep regular poultry yards in many cases a large number of fowls in a small space. Having ho conveniences for keeping the yards in a proper sanitary condition the stench after the slightest shower is unbearable, and in view of autumn fever epidemics and the plague extremely risky.—lam, ONE WHO THINKS PREVENTION BETTER THAN CURE.
