HAMILTON, this day
At the Police Court, Ngaruawahia, yesterday, Christopher Marwood was charged on the information of the police with having set- fire to a dwelling house and hay stack, the property of Mr Saulsbrey. The evidence taken was practically the same as that given at the inquest, already reported. Mr Swarbrick, who appeared for accused, called no evidence, but addressed the Bench, pointing out what he alleged to be the insufficiency of the evidence against the accused.
