SUPREME COURT.
The Supreme Court has been occupied yesterday and to-day hearing evidence in the action for alleg-ed malicious prosecution, brought by George Maunder, of Te Awamutu, against Win. H. Webbe. Several witnesses were examined: on .behal|, of plaintiff!. Slipr^yobesfQre np.o.u, '.Mr 'Hugh Camp- • bell,.opined ,the..case.fo.r tie defence. He submitted the phiisT of 'proving the mi-Hcious prosecution, ~lay; on the plaintiff. He moved for a non-suit on the ground that the onus of showingdefendant had not reasonable and probable cause for the prosecution lay on Maunder, and he had not done so. He also contended that defendant had acted in a bona fide manner in the whole transaction. The case is not likely to be concluded Until late this afternoon. i -' -
