THE EXPORT OF POULTRY.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In one. of j^our issues during-' the past week I notice a telegram from your Wellington correspondent.!,, It was headed, "Export of Poultry" and read thus: "The Karamea takes. 500 frozen ducks as a trial shipment' to London, leaving on Thursday nest. Some surprise is expressed that no fowls have come forward from tlit Nolrth Island." I should like to ! draw growers' attention to this fact, and would elso point out that it is notj on account of want of encouragement1 either on the part of-the Government or on the part of the exporters. I beg to refer to my advertisement which- 3 has appeared in this paper for some time. The Government undertakes the killing, grading and packing- of the poultry, and I am prepared to ship and advance a liberal amount1 against- consignments, thus enabling" farmers who do not understand -the .. getting up of the crates, or those who canno* afford to await returns to * realise immediately on shipment;;!*: Trusting that the' farmere in this province will not lag behind , the-;* Southern producers, I am, etc., A. BUSCE.
