PICNIC AT WHITFORD PARK.
The employees of Messrs L. D. Nathan and Co.'s establishment held their annua! picnic at Whitford Park on Saturday last. Three five-horse brakes conveyed the pleasure-seekers to the farm. Mr and Mrs Dibble gave kindly assistance. The following races were decided: — IOOYds Employees' Race: T. Morrin, scratch, and N. Taylor, syds, (dead heat), 1; D. Cumming, 3. 200 Yds Employees' Race: B. McKinstry, 4yds, 1; N. Taylor, 10yds, 2; J. Kean, 4yds, 3. 300 Yds Employees' Race: B. McKinstry/Oyds, 1; J. Feltman, 18yds, 2; D. Cumming, syds, 3. 200 Yds Tea Boys' Race: W. Brown, 2yds, 1; J. Duffin, Byds, 2; F. Booth, scratch, 3. IOOYds Small Boys' Race: T. Kearney, 10yds, 1; Gibbs, 18yds, 2; T. Duffin, scratch, 3. 150 Yds Farmhands' Pace: F. Selbv, syds, 1; A, White, Syds, 2; 11. Wilson, scratch, 3. Ladies' Race, 75yds: Miss Burrows, 1; Miss E. Thompson, 2. Old Buffers' Race: J. C, Davis, 12yds, 1; S. Fieldman, Syds, 2; A. Donaldson, scratch, 3. Manx Race: Cumming and Farquhar, 1; White and Buchanan, 2. A Tug of War, Farmhands v. Warehouse Employees, was won by the former.
