The representative cricket match between the Waipa Union and an eleven representing the Hamilton Cricket Association Avas played here on Saturday. The visitors in their first innings made 100, N. Reid contributing 28, 11. Ford 25, and S. Reid 19. Johnson took six Avickets for 17 runs. Hamilton replifd with 49. Hammond scoring 23, but none of the others reached double figures. Blackett Avas the most effective bowler, taking four Avickets for 14. Waipa in their second essay knocked up 77, S. Reid making 30 and F. Bowden 14. Tohnson again did best execution with the ball. Time was then called and .he match decided on the first innings, Waipa thus winning by 51 runs.
