A match was sailed on Saturday I afternoon between the one-raters Alma (Messrs Stevenson and Frater) and Bellbirtl (Mr J. Donald) for £5 a-side. Alma held her lead to the Viking's moorings, Bellbird being unable to close up, and at the finish Alma's lead was 2min 20sec. After the finish of the race the health of the crews was honoured, and the stakes were handed to the winner.
