THREE KING'S COLLEGE.

The annual distribution of prizes to the successful students at the Three Kings College took place yesterday, afternoon. The Rev. H. R. Dewsbury presided, and among those present were Beys. S. Lawry, C. C. ..Beecroft, W. Ready, E. Best, W. Pinfold and Chapman. .The proceedings were opened with praise and prayer.. The Chairman said he wished the Method* ists of the colony were better acquaint" ed with the work of the institution, a,s there was no other where the work was so interesting. At the college technical education and education of the mind were combined as far as possible. He hoped that if the century fund proved a success the college might be able to obtain additions in the carpentering, shoemaking and blacksmithing departments.

The Rev. J. H. Simmonds. principal, said there were twenty-five scholars in the school, and their health had, with 'one exception, been excellent. The whole of the work was done under his supervision. The school hours were from 9.30 to 12.30 a.m. and 6.30 to 8 p.m. There had been regular instruction in Holy Scripture and *£ateehism. The conduct had been good". The Bey. Lawry addressed the bpys, urging them to do their part in influencing their own people.

The prizes were then delivered, by the chairman as follows:—

Special Prizes.—Best drawing book, Tiamana Kerei; catechism, Paoa Ra« kena; general improvement, Karanga., Hone; stable work, Karanga Hone;): work at parsonage, Thomas Searancke; general farm work, Wi Henera,, Eruira; industrial work, Toka Hona, Ngakau Hori, W. J. Stanaway, Wan\ Rapana, George Hadden, Teheu Rewiri.

Addresses were given by Rev. W« Ready and Mr Hadden, and afternoon tea was handed round. ,
