G. Matthews left Christchurch on Satiirday with Cannie. Chiel and The I^abourer. He will reach here on Thursday. Mr F. Watson brings up from New Plymou'lh for the A.E.C. Summer Meeting- Battleaxe and-Muscatel. Explosion continues a firm favourite for the Auckland Oup at 5 to 2, Record Reign being next in demand at 4 to 1. Sant Ilario has been further supported at Ts to 1. Wagers of 500 to 10 Explosion and Firefly, and 300 to 10 Sant Ilario and Eosella have been pencilled.

Mr Dan McLeod was disgusted with the display of the 'chaser Crusado in the'Takapuna Steeplechase on Saturday, so he sold him to Mr Peter Chaafe for £50. : .
