There is great excitement at Ka.lgoorlie at the removal of the sixteen alluvial diggers arrested yesterday to FreemahtleZ A specially arranged Police Court was called, and it then transpired that the men had been sent away unknown to their counsel. Father O'Gorman, who has been acting as intermediary on behalf of the diggers, protested in the name of British justice against the^way the men had been dealt with.The magistrateoiiithim short by-referring him .to -the proper authorities. A bodyguard of 500 men is accompanying Malachi Dyer, the diggers leader, fearing the police will try and arrest him.
