THE CAPE CABLE.

ADELAIDE, November 21

The Government have practically accepted the Eastern Extension Company's proposals to lay the Cape cable, reducing the rates to foxm- shillings I for public, and three shillings for Government, and eighteenpence for pr.ess messages. The Government do not consider that a separate office is required at present. SYDNEY, this day

In the Assembly the PostmasterGeneral stated that nothing definite had been done with regard to the Cape cable, but he thought next week he would have\something to announce.
