The Onehunga Cycling Club hold a concert this evening' in the Onehunga Public Hall for the purpose of forming- a nucleus of a fund to Jay down a banked track in the local Recreation Ground. Among the artists taking part are Messrs Percy Dufaur, Percy Blackmail, Miss Ethel Boulton, the Onehunga Musical Society, and the Misses Taylor, of Mangere. Our Hamilton correspondent wires that evidence at the inquest on Wm. Livingston, Tuhikaramea, showed that deceased went for the cows at 4.30 a.m., and was found lying on his face dead half a mile away. A post mortem examination revealed fatty degeneration and extensive rupture of the heart sufficient to cause death. A verdict was returned accordingly. The trial trip of the s.s. Tongariro, built for Lake Taupo, was a great success, according to our Taupo correspondenit, covering 2S miles in 2 hours 20 minutes, with a heavy beam wind and sea. She behaved splendidly, her machinery working smoothly. She wilt run a regular twice-weekly service, connecting- with coaches at Tokaanu for the Wans'anvu Ttfve.r route.
