POLLARD'S OPERA CO.
On Saturday night the prettj* opera "La Poupee" was staged in Abbott's Opera House by Pollard's Opera Company, and as on previous occasions the performance W"s a highly successful'one and delighted .the large audience. Miss May Beatty took the title role of "the doll," and played the part splendidly. Mr Percy was excellent as Master Hilarius. The whole performance was an exceedingly successful one, and no doubt there will be another crowded house tonight to witness this popular opera.
Miss Maud Beatty made her last appearance with the company on Saturday eveuing. She leaves this evening, for Sydney to jo'iu her husband, Mr Milbourne. *
Miss Opie, an Australian artiste, has joined the company in Auckland, and will probably appear during fla> present season.
