WELLINGTON RACING CLUB SPRING MEETING.

The spring meeting of the Wellington Racing Club is fixed to take place tfn Wednesday and Friday next. There are several good stakes on the programme on each day. The November Handicap, one mile, which opens proceedings, may go to Volley or The :Hempie: Nine are left in to dispute possession of the Wellington Handicap of 400sovs, 1J mile. Explosion, Crusoe' and Ideal read a dangerous trio, and I like the top weight best. Three are left in the Spring Juvenile Handicap, viz., Miooka, by Robinson Crusoe—Aphrodite; Cecile, by Gold jj ee f—Pu.werewere; and Black-wing. The former, who is owned by the Hon. J. D. Ormond, may be found good enonsrh to win. Rosella and Ostiak should fight out the finish in the Shorts Handicap. In the First Welter Wedlock and Volley look the most dangerous. The Flying Handicap of. 150sovs, six furlongs, which concludes the day's card, may go to Jabber or Okoari.
