SUDDEN DEATH.

HAMILTON, October 12
A lamentable affair occurred here this afternoon, when the Rev. R. O'C. Biggs dropped dead. He was harnessing up his horse in order to take Mrs Biggs for a drive, and had almost completed the task when the Rev. Cowie, son of Bishop Cowie, offered to assist him. Deceased declined the proffered help, and Mr Cowie passed on. A minute or two afterwards Miss Evil Biggs, grand-daughter, found deceased on the ground beside the buggy in a, dying condition. Messrs Geo. Edgeeunibc iind Hugh Kelly were in attendance at once. Deceased gasped once or twice, iind passed away. He wa,s troubled with a weak heart, and heart disease is supposed to have been the cause of death. He was ordained deacon in 1877, and priest, in 1882, and was shortly afterwards appointed vicar of Hamilton, a position he has occupied ever since. Deeca.sed, who -was about seventyfour years of age, was beloved by persons of all denominations. He leaves a wife, one son, and three daughters, all of whom are married. The funeral -will take place on Friday, and the body will be interred in the Masonic cemetery.
