AUCKLAND DIAMOND PROSPECTING SYNDICATE.

A meeting of the members of the Diamond Prospecting Syndicate was held at Mr J. H. Harrison's office, at which Mr C. C. McMillan -presided. The original prospector, Mr James Hamilton, who for the past 15 months has been at work in the vicinity of Eiverhead, was present at ihe meeting, and showed the stones obtained since last time the members asembled. He also explained fhe nature of the works that, now required fo be undertaken. As the. Syndicate has now secured a title under Hie Mining Act for 300 acres of Crown land, in addition to an area of 190 acres of freehold previously purchased, it was decided on fhe motion of Mr J. M. Lennox to at once proceed with development work, and Mr Hamilton was instructed to put on a number of men and also empowered to procure the necessary plant.
