At the court-martial Major Hartman gave powerful evidence in support of Dreyfus. General Deloye deposed that there was a possibility of accused's guilt, but he refrained' from expressing an opinion whether Dreyfus was guilty or not.

Professor Havest showed that Esterhazy was guilty of solecisms in the bordereau.
