! Drunkenness.—Patrick Murphy was 'fined 20s or in default seven days in gaol for drunkenness (second offence within six months). Three first offenders were convicted and discharged. Thomas Richards was fined 5s or in default' 24 hours. Robert Sullivan, for being drunk and disorderly in Albert-street, was fined 10s or an default 48 hours' imprisonment John Henry Rowe was fined 10s and cab hire (2s Gd) for drunkenness; and Elizabeth Sneller, for a second offence, I was fined 20s or in defatilt seven days. I Desertion.— William Henry George I Burgess pleaded guilty to a charge of I havin-r deserted in January last from H M s. Royalist at Auckland, and was ordered to be placed on board the first warship that visits Auckland. ! Obscene Language.—Robert Sullivan was sentenced to one months imprisonment with hard labour for using obscene language in Albert-street.
