At Invercargill yesterday, Martin,..* coal dealer, was fined 1/, and costs £2 0/6, because his carter loitered on the road with a load of coal, and delivered it about ten minutes after the closing hour on the half-holiday. The carter had since been discharged, and admitted that he could have travelled faster. In another case a bushman was fined in all £2 for delivering a load of wood after one o'clock, his excuse being that the road being son he had to make two journeys of the load. ■ i
