CHURCH OF CHRIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.

There was a large gathering at the Church of Christ, Ponsonby Road, last evening, it being the annual winter gathering of the Sunday School. The scholars assembled at 6.30 in full number, and enjoyed an ample spread of fruit, cakes, sandwiches, etc., under the supervision of the teachers, and at 7.30 an entertainment was held, at which about 150 certificates won by the scholars at a recent examination were presented. Miss M. Simes' one was specially beautifully framed, as she had won the highest honour in the school. Mr T. J. Bull presented the certificates. Mr A. Murray acted as chairman. Mr W. H. Marson conducted several choruses, which were creditably rendered. Miss Marson and Mrs Bodle acted as accompanists, | and the items were rendered by M. , and A. Marson, L. Irwin,. L. Bruce, . H, Caramel, L. Roebuck, and others.;
