THE GAIETY COMPANY.
The City Hall was crowded on Saturday evening, when a most enjoyable programme was presented to a most enthusiastic audience.. The scenery in the first part, the "Aerial Garden Party,'' was admirable, a real, water fall being added to the other attractions, which included young- damsels swingingl amidst natural bush. The scenic painting by Mr Vennermark was also good. The chair business was \i\] to the usual good average of the Gaiety performance,' and in the second part the operatic scene from "La Fille de Madame Angot" was much enjoyed. The Howard Sisters received numerous bouquets, this being their last appearance. In the new act, "The Lunatics," those excellent artists the Leslie Brothers were as funny as usual. "Another Man Short in the Force" and "A Quiet Night in Oriehunga"were very amusing. As ,the Elingamite is not expected in until this evening, the first appearance of the Keziahs and Mr Manuel Woodson at the Gaiety Company will riot" be made until to-morrow evening.
