Clarke, of the Auckland tabernacle, lectured in the Mayfield (Birkenhead) schoolroom on Friday eveningl on "Nature's Noblemen," to a large audience. Mr J. M. Warn presided. The lecture was listened to with intense interest. The Mayfield choir, under Mr MacNicol, sang- two choruses during the evening, Miss Miller presiding- at the organ. The proceeds, amounting to about 25/, will be devoted to an organ fund. Mr Clarke consented to give another lecture on some future date.
