Mr J. Arneil has selected the following teams to play in the practice match on Saturday next at Epsom: —
A.—Full-back, G. Gillett (Karangahake); three-quarters, K. McGregor (Thames), McPike, AbsOlum; fiveeigths, Itiley (Thames); half, Nicholson; forwards, Irvine, J. Gillett Cunningham (Thames), Murray, C. McGregor (Thames), Gallagher, Scott; and wings, Laing (Thames) and A. Wilson.
B.—Full-back, Donovan; threeqiiarters, Harrison (Wairoa), Geruard, Pillinger; five-eighths, Phelan (Wairoa); half, Young; forwards, . Tyler, Wilson, Eaton, C. Brady, Neighbour, McGregor, McCluskie; and wings, Pitt and Clark.
Emergencies: H. Smith Asher, Matheson, Dacre, J. Rule, Cucksey, Beeston, Pienwiclc, Walsh, and Doran.
Te Pna v. Avon dale.—This match resulted in a win for the latter by 3 points to nil. For the Avondale team Atkinson scored, and some good play was shown by Ward, Heron, Clarke (2), and Peck. For Te Pua, Die. Downer and Whirewhire played well.
Rivals v. Blue Star.—This match was drawn, each side scoring 3 points. For Rivals Pi. Matthews scored a try, while B. Funnell scored a try for Blue Star.
