CHRISTCHURCH, this day. A meeting of clergy and laity, at •which there was a good attendance, was held last night to consider the proposed formation of a, league of citizens to deal with the government of the liquor traffic on moderate lines. The meeting was thoroughly representative, and the matter was earnestly discussed. It was decided to form a committee to carry out proposal's and draft a constitution.
