THE LIBERAL FEDERATION.

HUNTLY, Wednesday
Last evening a well attended meeting of the Liberal Association was held at Ralph's Hall to meet Mr Edwards, the Liberal organiser. Mr-Kay, vice-president, was in the chair. Mr Edwards fully explained the purposes of the Liberal federation as set forth in the provisional constitution of that body. Every electoral district in the colony has its branch. Delegates from those branches will meet annually at Wellington in a conference. Subordinate to the electoral district- branches are the polling branches formed at such centres as Huntly and Te Awamutii. These polling district branches send representatives, to Iho disfriel association. The next meeting of the Waikato Association will be held at Hamilton about. 13th August, and one after that at Huntly. Mr Edwards also referred to Dr. Hoskings' candidature for the Waikato seat, and urged on the local association itst duty as regards rousing up political activity in small centres. The speaker was accorded a vote of thanks.
