Waihi sharestfftad a sharp advance on the Exchange to-day, buyers offering £ 7 10/, as against £ 7 5/ on Saturday. Holders, however, immediately advanced to £8. Waihi Silvertons were again asked for at 12/6, but the lowest quoted. selling price was 13/9. Crowns were wanted at 13/6, and Talismans at 14/, while for Waitekauri shares 47/6 was quoted. May Queens were easier, being sold at 7/3, with buyers left at 7/.' Pour-in-Hand shares were firmer, 2/9 being offered, and Bunker's Hill sold and were still wanted at 2/6. Barrier Reefs had inquiry at 3/6, and Whangamata Corporations at 5/6. In low priced stocks Ohinemuris were sold from 4d to sd, and there were buyers of City of Auckland, Alburnia, Tararu Creek, Victoria, Portsea, Waihi South, and Waihi Beach shares at late rates. In Standard stocks Auckland Gas (old issue) sold. at £13 5/. Other stocks (Showed no phange.
