ALLEGED VITROL THROWING.

ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT

Catherine Eidling appeared on remand at the Police Court this morning before Mr T. Hutchison, 5.M.., to answer the charge of having on the 3rd of June thrown a corrosive substance to wit "vitroil" on Ellen Hannah. Chief Detective Grace asked for a further remand of one week. He stated that Mrs Hannah was still confined to the Hospital owing to her inj\iries, not being- yet in a condition to leave the institution. Accused asked for bail. Chief Detective Grace said bail had been fixed previously but the woman had remained in custody. His Worship granted the remand, bail to remain as already fixed.
